Leading nail polish brand Semilac UK, which is based in West Bromwich and has its HQ salon in Solihull, has landed on the international stage after one of its innovative products won a Pure Beauty Global Award.
Semilac Flash Sunlight Effect became a Gold winner in the Best New Hands and Nail Product category at a lavish ceremony in Dubai. The prizes were decided by a panel of 12 beauty industry experts who were wowed by how the range's six subtle colours deepen in UV light to reveal a dazzling 2-in-1 manicure. It comes after Semilac SemiFlash colour changing powder was named Pure Beauty's Best New Hands and Nail Product following a public vote in October.
Semilac UK CEO Monika Shine, who lives in Solihull, commented: “We are thrilled that this incredible product has given global recognition to our brand and we now feel well and truly on the beauty map! There are now nearly 300 salons across the UK which officially stock our ranges and we hope this award will spread the word even further that Semilac is a quality but affordable nail polish that creates beautifully strong nails which last.”
Lucy Tandon Copp, Editor of Pure Beauty, added: "Semilac Flash Sunlight Effect was a highly deserving winner of the award for Best New Hands & Nail Product at the Pure Beauty Global Awards 2018. The judges were particularly impressed with the product's world-first ability to change colour in the sunshine, presenting a novel and fun innovation that will no doubt be a talking point among consumers."
Semilac Flash Sunlight Effect is one of many ranges used at the Semilac UK Academy, based on the High Street in West Bromwich. The ABT and Beauty Guild accredited training sessions start at just £60 and include Classic Hybrid Manicure, Art, Hard Gel and Hardi Extend.
