Mell Square is spreading the Christmas cheer by joining forces with local charities, including Solihull Young Carers, to host a gift wrapping service in December.
Taking place in a retail unit on the High Street (next to H Samuel and opposite Touchwood’s Mill Lane Arcade entrance) between 10am and 3pm every Saturday in December*, Mell Square will be inviting Christmas shoppers to have a select number of presents wrapped in return for a charitable donation.
Each Saturday, the gift wrapping service will be hosted by a different charity, whose volunteers will be getting into the festive spirit and wrapping Christmas presents. All money raised on the day will be wholly donated to the individual charity.
There will also be a seated area where shoppers will have the opportunity to indulge in seasonal hot drinks and nibbles if they choose to wait for their presents to be wrapped.
Rob Hemus, IM Properties asset manager, said: “Christmas is well-known as a time for giving, so this year we wanted to reflect this into our festive activity. We are looking forward to working alongside Solihull charities and those based in Mell Square itself. We hope to see local shoppers support this fantastic initiative and donate to these worthy causes.”
The Mell Square gift wrapping service will be available on Saturday 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd December. To keep updated, visit mellsquare-shopping.com or search Mell Square on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
