Ten years ago today Project Resource, a leading specialist recruitment agency, opened up their Solihull office and commenced trading across the Midlands, Anglia and Wales. Director Andrew Szklarek was the driving force behind the opening of the Solihull office.  Over the past ten years he has developed an ambitious team of people around him and has created an environment and culture that has helped attract some of the best local talent. 

Since Andrew Szklarek opened the doors in 2008 the office has seen huge success working with some of the biggest names in construction, supporting the most prestigious projects across the Midlands and surrounding areas and helping thousands of people’s careers in construction along the way.  

A stone’s throw away from the high street, Project Resource’s Solihull office offers an incredible open plan space to work, which includes a pool table, table tennis table, hi-spec kitchen and modern dining area. No expense has been spared to create a happy, enjoyable and modern environment for their team to work, socialise and develop successful careers. 

We asked Andrew his thoughts on this great achievement: It’s a major milestone for us to celebrate 10 years in Solihull. Having moved up here myself 10 years ago I can personally say how fantastic a town it is to work in and how pleased we are with how the office has grown over the years!

We started out as a small team and through the continued performance of the office we have become the largest of three offices in our company. It makes me very proud to see that many of the people who joined us in the first year are now senior managers within our business running their own teams and offices.

The next ten years look even brighter for us with an extremely busy local economy and constant need for the skilled people we provide – so much so we are always looking for more like minded people to join our success story and make our future even bigger and better!

Tina Pardoe, Head of Managed Services has been with Project Resource since 2008 and relocated to the Solihull office in 2015 from London, she added: “10 years – what an achievement and I feel very proud to have been a part of it. Project Resource was my first job out of University and I am here 10 years later, which is rare in the world of recruitment. After a short time in London with Project Resource I relocated back to Solihull in 2015.

The team, location and environment is unique. We are fortunate to have an office that incorporates our work hard ethos but also have fun in the work place. Being on the doorstep of Solihull we make the most of the local bars and restaurants and do monthly activities in and around the area.

We have developed some excellent relationships over the years with both candidates and clients in and around the area, and long may it continue!
